Dashboard and Settings

This chapter covers the Dashboard screen that summarizes your store, the store-specific Settings tabs, and the Account page where you manage your personal preferences. Ways to delete your account and data are at the very end.

Dashboard

The Dashboard (/dashboard) is a one-screen summary of your active store. Open it from the Dashboard menu in the sidebar, from the Home tab on mobile, or with the g, d shortcut.

Warning: The Dashboard currently works only for Etsy stores. If your active store is a Shopify or eBay store, you'll see the message Catalog for this platform is coming soon. If you don't have any store, you'll see the message Connect your first Etsy store to get started. and a Connect store link; for details, see the Getting started chapter.

Store header card

Your store's logo and name are at the very top of the page. Right below them:

  • the platform and connection status (e.g. ETSY · CONNECTED or ETSY · DISCONNECTED),
  • when the data was last synced (e.g. Synced 5 min ago; Not synced yet if it has never synced),
  • the New Listing button on the right. This button opens the new listing screen (Listings).

The bottom of the card shows three key numbers: Revenue · 30 days, Orders · 30 days, and Active listings. If a data source can't be reached, "—" appears instead of the number; this doesn't mean the value is zero.

If the store's Etsy connection has broken, the warning Etsy connection needs renewal. and a Go to Settings → link appear at the bottom of the card.

Waiting on you

The highlighted strip below the header card counts the items that need your decision or action. Click any box to go to the related list:

BoxWhat it countsWhere it takes you
AI suggestions to approveProtsy AI suggestions waiting for your approvalProtsy AI chats
Orders to shipPaid orders that haven't shipped yetUnshipped orders
Overdue past 7 daysThose orders that are older than 7 days (highlighted with an orange border)Unshipped orders
Unresolved maker changesChanges to connected maker products waiting for your approvalListings

If nothing is waiting, the strip shrinks to a single line: All clear · Nothing needs your decision right now.

Note: The AI suggestions to approve box appears if Protsy AI is enabled on your account, and the Unresolved maker changes box appears if the maker or marketplace feature is enabled on your account.

Dashboard tiles

Below the strip are tiles in two columns. Click a tile's title to go to the related page.

Sales Shows revenue for Today, Last 7 days, Last 31 days, and Last 90 days with a small bar chart and the order count. Each period is compared with the previous period of the same length (a percentage change vs previous period, or new if there were no sales in the previous period). If order data can't be read, the message Order data unavailable and a Reconnect Etsy button appear.

Orders Shows the rows To ship, Overdue (older than 7 days), Oldest waiting (how long ago the oldest waiting order came in), Awaiting payment, Shipped today, Completed, and Canceled. Awaiting payment, completed, and canceled orders cover the last 30 days. Most rows are clickable and take you to a filtered order list. Details: Orders, Shipping, and Finance.

Listings Shows the number of Active, Etsy drafts, Scheduled, Out of stock, and No variations listings. If you don't have any listings yet, the message No listings yet appears along with a New Listing button.

Traffic Shows your store's view and session counts, along with the three most-viewed pages. This requires a Google Analytics connection. If it isn't connected, the message Google Analytics not connected appears, and the Connect button takes you to the Settings > Connection page.

Profit & fees Shows your net profit for the last 30 days (Net · 30 days), your Margin rate, and your Etsy fees and Product cost amounts.

Note: This tile appears only if the maker or marketplace feature is enabled on your account and at least one of your listings is linked to a maker product.

Needs attention Runs your active listings through basic quality checks and counts the ones with problems:

  • Fewer than 13 tags: listings that don't use all 13 tags Etsy allows.
  • Only one photo: listings with fewer than 2 photos.
  • Stale with low views: listings older than 60 days that have been viewed 20 times or fewer.
  • No shipping profile: listings not attached to a shipping profile.
  • In edit or expired: listings that have dropped off Etsy.
  • Out of stock: active listings with a stock quantity of zero.

If all listings pass the checks, it says Nothing needs attention.

Tip: This tile is the fastest way to find which listings need improvement. Click a row, open the related listings, and fill in what's missing.

Protsy AI Shows your last five AI chats in this store. Click a chat to pick up where you left off. If there are no chats, a Start a chat button appears. Details: Protsy AI and Insights.

Note: Chats are listed in this tile only if Protsy AI is enabled on your account.

Credits & AI jobs Shows your credit Balance, the credits Spent this month, and the number of Jobs completed and Jobs failed in the last 30 days. This tile appears if the credit system is enabled.

Shipping Shows the number of shipments that are Awaiting label, In transit, At ShipEntegra, and Handed over manually.

Note: The Shipping tile appears only if the shipping feature is enabled on your account.

Weekly report Shows the title and a short summary of your latest AI report. Open the full report with Read the report →. The first report arrives after a week of data has been collected; until then it says No report yet.

Settings

Settings (/settings) is specific to the active store: a change you make in one store doesn't affect your other stores. To change another store's settings, first switch to that store from the store switcher in the sidebar.

There are four tabs at the top of the page: General, Store, Shipping, and Connection.

Tip: Listing templates are no longer inside Settings; they're in the Templates menu in the sidebar. The old template settings address redirects you there automatically. For details, see the Templates chapter.

General tab

This tab determines how AI creates content for this store. The Store settings heading and your store's name appear at the top.

  1. Display Name: the name used for your store inside Protsy. It can't be left empty.
  2. Brand voice: the AI assistant writes every listing in this tone. Preset options:
    • Professional & polished
    • Warm & friendly
    • Luxury & minimal
    • Playful & energetic
    • Handmade storyteller
    • Custom…: you describe your brand voice in your own words in the box that opens.
  3. Default Currency: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, SEK, DKK, NOK, CHF, or TRY.
  4. Content language: the language AI writes titles, descriptions, and tags in. If Auto (match what I type) is selected, AI follows the language you write in. You can also pick a fixed language (English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Japanese). The category always stays in English because Etsy requires it.
  5. Product type: Physical / handmade, Print on demand (POD), or Mixed (both). When you choose POD or Mixed, the Mockups, Designs, and Studio menus appear in the sidebar.
  6. Design content rules: rules AI must follow in every design it creates for this store. For example, "always minimalist and pastel colors; never use religious symbols". You can write up to 1000 characters; a counter appears below the field.
  7. Click Save changes. The notification Store settings saved. appears.

Tip: If you want to write in Turkish and get English listings, set Content language to "English". That way listing content is generated in English no matter which language you write to AI in.

Store tab: pricing

The Pricing parameters screen holds the store-level values Protsy uses when calculating the list prices it suggests.

GroupFields
Profit marginMargin basis (Cost or Sale price), Margin type (Percent (%) or Fixed amount), Margin value
Etsy feesTransaction fee (%), Listing fee, Payment processing (%), Payment processing (fixed)
AdvertisingEtsy Ads (%), Offsite Ads checkbox; if checked, Offsite Ads (%)
Permanent saleDiscount (%): if you keep your listing permanently on sale. The suggested price becomes a list price that still covers cost, shipping, Etsy fees, and profit after the discount is taken off. 0 = no discount.
RoundingPrice rounding (No rounding, End in .99, End in .95, Whole number) and Currency

The Live example box below the fields shows the result of your settings instantly:

  1. Enter sample values in the Cost and Shipping boxes.
  2. The Suggested price on the right updates.
  3. If you're happy with the settings, click Save.

Warning: If the percentage fees and margin together exceed the sale price, the live example shows the warning Percent fees and margin exceed the sale price — lower the percentages. In this case the price can't be calculated; lower the percentages.

Tip: Rounding always goes up, so it never eats into your margin.

Shipping tab

The Shipping Profiles screen reads the shipping profiles in your Etsy store directly from Etsy and lists them. Each profile card shows:

  • the profile's name and type (Manual or Calculated), Ships from,
  • the shipping cost for each destination, the additional item cost (with another item), and the delivery time (business days),
  • Upgrades, if any (e.g. express shipping options).

To create a new profile:

  1. Click the Create profile button in the top right.
  2. Enter a Profile name and a two-letter Ships from (country code) (e.g. TR, US).
  3. Confirm. The profile is created directly on Etsy and the notification Shipping profile created on Etsy. appears.

To edit an existing profile:

  1. Click the pencil icon next to a Manual profile.
  2. Edit the destinations (Specific country, European Union, Europe (non-EU), Everywhere else), the Free shipping or Fixed cost option, and the delivery days. Use Add a country or region for a new destination.
  3. Click Save & sync to Etsy.

Warning: Changes here are written directly to your Etsy store. Calculated profiles can't be edited here. If you don't see the edit buttons, Protsy is missing permission to change your store settings; reconnect the store from the Connection tab.

If the profiles can't be loaded, the screen shows the reason. For example, Etsy permission missing for this section. Reconnect the store to grant it. or Etsy is rate limiting. Try again in a few minutes.

If the shipping feature is turned on for your account, there's also a ShipEntegra section at the bottom of this tab. This is where you set up the international shipping quotes used in suggested prices, carrier rules, and the customs declaration value. For details, see the Orders, Shipping, and Finance chapter.

Note: The ShipEntegra section appears only if the shipping feature is enabled on your account.

Connection tab

The Etsy Connection card shows your store's connection status: Connected or Disconnected. There are two links at the bottom of the card:

  • Reconnect via Etsy →: use it when the connection breaks or you get a missing-permission warning.
  • Connect a different store →: adds another Etsy store. Don't forget to sign out of Etsy in your browser first.

Under the Integrations heading, the services you can connect for this store are listed: Google Analytics, Pinterest, Instagram & Facebook (Meta), TikTok, YouTube, Shopify, eBay, Google Drive, and (if the shipping feature is on) ShipEntegra. Setup for each one is covered in the Integrations chapter.

Danger Zone

The Danger Zone section at the very bottom of the page has two actions.

Disconnecting the store (appears only while the store is connected):

  1. Click Disconnect store.
  2. Read the confirmation text and click Disconnect.

Protsy's access to this store is removed, but the store and its data in Protsy aren't deleted. Your live listings stay on Etsy. The store keeps appearing as ETSY · DISCONNECTED in the store switcher, and you can reconnect it at any time.

Removing the store permanently:

  1. Click Remove store permanently.
  2. In the Type the store name to confirm: field, type your store's name exactly.
  3. The Delete permanently button becomes active; click it.

Warning: Permanent removal can't be undone. Everything Protsy keeps for this store is deleted: synced listings, drafts, schedules, integrations, and settings. Products you've already published on Etsy or Shopify aren't affected.

Account page

The Account page (/account) is independent of any store; the preferences here apply to all the stores in your account. Open it with Account settings from the account menu in the bottom left.

Profile

  • Display name: change it and click Save changes.
  • Email: the address you sign in with. This field can't be changed here.

Language and theme

  • Language: English or Türkçe. The interface changes instantly. Your choice is stored in this browser.
  • Theme: Light, Dark, or System, which follows your device's setting.

AI quality level

You choose a quality level for each type of job, and Protsy picks the right model for that job itself. The levels are Basic, Pro, and Max. A higher level gives better results but uses more credits.

Job typeWhat it covers
Writing (SEO, descriptions)Titles, descriptions, tags, and templates
Assistant & editor chatAI chats in the editor
Analysis & reportsPrice suggestions, daily insights, traffic and performance reports
Media analysisReading uploaded images, audio, and video (alt text and analysis)

Note: While the credit system is enabled, only the lowest level is available on the trial plan. You need to upgrade your plan for the other levels.

The same card has two more settings:

  • Skip the plan approval when creating listings with AI: when it's on, mockup and video generation start right away without first showing you the model and credit amount.
  • Advanced: pick exact models: click to open it and choose a specific model for Text & SEO model, Chat model, Image model, and Video model. You can also change these choices temporarily per product.

Warning: While Skip the plan approval when creating listings with AI is on, jobs that spend credits start without asking for your approval. Keep it off unless you're watching your credits closely.

Response length

Sets the length of AI's chat replies to Short, Medium, or Long.

Security: changing your password

  1. Enter your Current password.
  2. Type the New password (at least 8 characters) twice.
  3. Click Update password.

Tip: If you created your account with Google, you don't have a Protsy password, and this form asks for a current password. To set a password, sign out and use the Forgot password? flow on the sign-in screen.

Plan

The Plan card shows your current plan, your trial end or renewal date, and the Upgrade and (if you've paid before) Manage subscription buttons. If you're billed through Shopify, a Manage plan in Shopify link appears instead. For plans and credits, see the Getting started chapter.

Connected apps and External tools

  • Connected apps: shows the external apps you've allowed to access your Protsy account, which stores they can access and with which permissions, and when they were last used. You can cut off an app's access instantly with Remove access.
  • External tools: connections to third-party services that the AI assistant can use through Protsy. Each store has its own connections.

Note: These two cards appear only if the related features are enabled on your account. For details, see the Integrations chapter.

Deleting your account and privacy

You can permanently delete your account from inside the app:

  1. On the Account page, scroll down and find the Danger Zone section.
  2. Click Delete account.
  3. Read the question Delete your account? and confirm with Delete account again.

After deletion, you're signed out and sent to the sign-in page.

Warning: Account deletion can't be undone. Your Protsy account, connected stores, drafts, generated images, and reports are permanently deleted. Listings you've published on Etsy stay on Etsy.

If you can't sign in, follow the steps on the Data Deletion Request page (/data-deletion): send an email with the subject "Data deletion request" from the address linked to your account to support@protsy.io. The request is confirmed within 7 business days. Deleted data is cleared from active systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days.

Other privacy documents are on public pages: Privacy Policy (/privacy), Terms of Service (/terms), the cookie policy (/cookies), and the refund policy (/refund).

Frequently asked questions

I see "—" instead of some numbers on the Dashboard. Why? "—" means that data source couldn't be reached; it doesn't mean zero. It usually shows up when the Etsy connection has broken or Google Analytics isn't connected. Renew the connection from the Settings > Connection tab.

I can't see the Profit, Credits, or Shipping tiles on the Dashboard. These tiles appear only if the related feature is enabled on your account. The Profit tile also requires at least one of your listings to be linked to a maker product.

I changed one store's settings. Why didn't my other store change? Everything on the Settings page applies only to the active store. For the other store, switch to it first from the store switcher. Preferences on the Account page, on the other hand, are shared across all stores.

What's the difference between disconnecting a store and removing it? Disconnecting only removes Protsy's access to the store; your data stays and you can reconnect the store. Permanent removal deletes everything Protsy keeps for that store, with no way back. In both cases, your live listings on Etsy aren't affected.

I made a change in the Shipping tab. Does it change on Etsy too? Yes. Creating and editing profiles saves directly to your Etsy store.

I switched the interface to Turkish, but my listings are still generated in English. The interface language and the content language are separate. The language of your listings is set by Content language in the Settings > General tab.
