Integrations

This chapter covers how to connect Protsy to other services: Google Analytics, social media accounts, sharing your products on social media and scheduling posts, Google Drive, ShipEntegra, and the Protsy connector for Claude and ChatGPT. It also briefly summarizes the Shopify and eBay connections and touches on the mobile app.

Where are the connections?

Most connections are on the Settings → Connection tab (address: /settings/connection). The Etsy Connection card sits at the top of the page, with the Integrations list below it: "Analytics and social channels for this store. Each connects with one click and can be removed any time."

All connections except Google Drive belong to your active store; Google Drive is connected once for your whole account. If you have more than one store, you need to set up the other connections separately for each store. First, select the right store in the store selector in the sidebar.

Cards that aren't connected read Not connected. On connected cards, you see your account name (for example, @username) and a Disconnect button.

Note: The steps for connecting and reauthorizing your Etsy store are covered in the Getting started chapter.

Google Analytics

The Google Analytics card connects your store's GA4 traffic to Protsy. Once it's connected, the Traffic tab on the Insights page and AI traffic insights work. Keyword scores are also calculated with your real search data.

  1. Click the Connect Google Analytics → button and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Select your store's GA4 property.
  3. To change the property later, use the Change property link on the card.

Using the Insights page is covered in the Protsy AI and Insights chapter.

Social media accounts

The same page has four social channel cards (Instagram and Facebook share one card): Pinterest, Instagram & Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. For each one, just click the connect button and sign in with the relevant account. When you're done, you return to the same page.

Pinterest

Connect with Connect Pinterest →. Once connected, you can share your listings as pins and create a new board while pinning.

Tip: If the card reads "Connected — reconnect to finish setup", or you get the warning "Reconnect Pinterest to let Protsy create boards…" when creating a board, disconnect Pinterest and connect it again. Older connections may be missing the required permissions.

Instagram & Facebook (Meta)

Warning: Before connecting, you need an Instagram Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Personal Instagram accounts can't publish.

  1. Click the Connect Instagram & Facebook → button and sign in with your Meta account.
  2. When you return to Protsy, select your store's Page from the Facebook Page list.
  3. Click Save Page.

If no eligible Page is found, the warning "No eligible Pages found…" appears. Make sure your Instagram account is a Business/Creator account linked to a Facebook Page, then reconnect.

TikTok

Connect with Connect TikTok →. You can share your products as photo posts or videos.

Note: Private posts only for now. Until TikTok's app audit is complete, posts are shared so that only you can see them. If TikTok rejects a post, you may need to set your connected TikTok account to Private: TikTok app → Settings and privacy → Account privacy.

YouTube

Connect with Connect YouTube →. You can upload your listing videos as Shorts.

Note: Private uploads only for now. Until Google's review is complete, videos are uploaded so that only you can see them.

Connecting through Composio

Note: This feature appears if it is enabled on your account.

If this section is turned on, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube posts can be shared publicly through Composio's approved apps: "Instagram, Facebook and YouTube posts go through Composio's approved apps until Protsy's own apps are approved. Connections belong to this store."

  1. In the External tools list, click Connect next to the service you want.
  2. Sign in with your account on the page that opens. Protsy never sees your passwords.
  3. If your Facebook account manages more than one Page, select a Page in the Facebook Page for this store field and click Save. Facebook posts are skipped until you make a selection.

Note: TikTok can't be connected through Composio.

Sharing your products on social media

There are three ways to share: a single product from the catalog, a single product from the listing page, and bulk scheduling from the catalog. In every case, AI writes the caption as a draft. Nothing is shared until you review and approve it.

Sharing from the catalog (Share listing)

  1. On the Listings page, hover over a product and click the share icon (Share to). On a phone, the icon is always visible.
  2. The Share listing window opens with three steps:
    • Media: Select the photos to share. If you like, use the product's video, or generate a short AI video from the first photo with Generate a video (spends credits).
    • Platforms: Select which of your connected accounts you want to share to. For Pinterest, select a board or create a new one with Create a new board.
    • Caption & timing: The Shared caption is the starting text for every platform. You can edit the caption separately on each platform's tab.
  3. Choose When for each platform:
    • When it goes live: If the listing is still a draft, it's shared when it goes live on Etsy.
    • Now: Shared within about a minute.
    • Pick a time: You choose a date and time.
  4. Click the Plan 1 post (or Plan {n} posts) button.

Each post is checked once more before it's shared. When scheduling is done, you can look at your scheduled posts with See planned posts or close the window with Done.

Sharing from the listing page

On the listing's detail page, open the ⋯ menu at the top right and hover over Share on social:

  • Plan posts…: Opens the three-step window described above.
  • Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube: Opens a separate sharing window for that platform. You select images, have AI write a caption with Generate with AI, and press the platform's publish button (for example, Publish to Pinterest).

Warning: Instagram and Facebook have no drafts. The moment you press the publish button, the post goes live.

The Planned posts card on the detail page shows the posts scheduled for that listing. Next to each post, it shows when it will go out (such as Goes out when the listing is live or Scheduled {time}). You can change a post with Edit or cancel it with Cancel. A post that is going out or has already gone out can't be changed. For a new post, click Plan posts on the card.

Tip: Products with scheduled posts are marked in the catalog with a small badge ({n} planned social posts).

Bulk post scheduling

  1. On the Listings page, select multiple products.
  2. In the action bar at the bottom, click Plan posts.
  3. Choose the platforms and a time for each platform. If Pinterest is selected, choose a board too.
  4. Click Plan posts.

Each product gets one post on each network, using its own first photos. Captions are built from the product's title, description, and tags. You can edit any post later from the listing page. If the products you selected include drafts, those drafts are shared when they go live.

Platform limits

  • Instagram accepts at most 25 posts per account in 24 hours. Anything beyond that fails. If you're scheduling many products, spread the posts out over time with Pick a time.
  • Instagram and Facebook: You can share at most 10 items in one post. Facebook shares video as a separate post from the photos.
  • Pinterest: Each photo you select is shared as a separate pin. At most 50 pins are posted in a single share.
  • TikTok and YouTube: Posts stay private until the app reviews are finished (see above).

Tip: You can also have sharing and scheduling done from the Protsy AI chat. Protsy AI shows an approval card before it shares or schedules anything.

Google Drive

The Google Drive card lets you bring your product photos and videos from Drive into Protsy.

  1. Click the Connect Google Drive → button and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Click Pick photos/videos.
  3. In the picker that opens, open a folder and select files. You can select multiple files.

The connected card reads "Connected · {count} file(s) shared".

Note: Protsy can access only the files you select. It can't see anything else in your Drive. When you want to use new files, you need to select them in the picker too.

To bring your POD designs from Drive into the Designs page, use the Add from Drive button. Details are in the POD: Designs, Mockups, and Studio chapter. Protsy AI can also use the files you've shared from Drive as listing photos.

ShipEntegra

Note: This feature appears if it is enabled on your account.

The ShipEntegra card is used to "Use your own ShipEntegra account to quote rates and buy labels."

  1. Click Connect.
  2. Enter the Client ID and Client secret values you get from your ShipEntegra dashboard (Settings → API). This information is stored encrypted.
  3. Click Connect account.

When your own account is connected, the card may read Your own account; when it isn't, it may read Using Protsy's account. Buying labels and shipping settings are covered in the Orders, Shipping, and Finance chapter.

Shopify and eBay

  • Shopify: On the Settings → Connection page of your Etsy store, enter your store's yourstore.myshopify.com domain in the Shopify card and click Connect Shopify. You're redirected to Shopify to approve the connection. Once connected, you can send your Etsy listings to your Shopify store as products:

    1. For a single listing, click Sync to Shopify in the ⋯ menu on the listing's detail page.
    2. For multiple listings, select the listings on the Listings page and click Sync to Shopify in the action bar at the bottom. You can send at most 50 listings at a time.

Warning: The listing's currency must match your Shopify store's currency. If they differ, nothing is sent.

  • eBay: You can connect your seller account with Connect eBay. After you connect your eBay store, you see your eBay products as read-only on the Listings page; sending listings from Protsy to eBay and bulk actions aren't available yet.

To add a Shopify or eBay store to Protsy as a separate store, see the Getting started chapter.

Protsy connector for Claude and ChatGPT

Note: This feature appears if it is enabled on your account.

The Protsy connector lets an AI app such as Claude or ChatGPT connect to your Protsy account and work on your store. Once connected, you can make requests in your AI app like "What did I sell this week?" or "Prepare a listing draft from these photos." The Protsy AI chat works with the same tools (see Protsy AI and Insights).

Connecting

  1. Add Protsy from your AI app's add-connector screen.
  2. The app redirects you to Protsy. If you aren't signed in, sign in first.
  3. The Authorize access screen reads "{app} wants to connect to your Protsy account."
  4. In the Choose what it can do list, check the permissions you want to grant:
    • Read your stores, listings, orders and reports: Always required.
    • Create and edit listing drafts: It only writes drafts. Nothing is published without your approval.
    • Edit your live Etsy listings: Price, stock, title, tags, section, shipping profile. It can't put a listing on sale or take it off sale.
    • Manage orders, labels and shipping rules: Buying a label charges your ShipEntegra account. It always asks first.
    • Run AI generation (SEO, mockups): Spends your Protsy credits.
    • Use your connected social accounts: Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Includes posting and pinning your products on your behalf.
  5. In the Give access to these stores section, select the stores the connector can see. You must select at least one store.
  6. Click Allow access. You return to your AI app.

Note: The connector address isn't shown on Protsy's screens. If you need the address, contact the Protsy support team.

Warning: If you see the warning "Protsy has not verified this app", the name on the screen is the name the app reported about itself. If you didn't start the connection and don't trust the app, click Deny. The address you'll be redirected to after approval is shown on the screen in the After approval you'll be sent to line.

What can you do with the connector?

  • Store and listings: Reading your stores and listings, syncing the store with Etsy, finding listings that need attention, shop sections, category and attribute search.
  • Creating listings: Reviewing photos, writing SEO copy, creating hidden drafts on Etsy, adding variations, personalization, and attributes, using and editing listing templates.
  • Editing live listings: Updating a single listing, bulk editing, bulk SEO, and bulk variation changes (preview, apply, undo), managing photos and videos.
  • POD and images: Adding designs, creating template mockups, generating AI mockups, enhancing images.
  • Orders and shipping: Listing orders, marking them as shipped, getting shipping quotes, shipping rules, buying labels in bulk.
  • Profit and analysis: Profit summary and breakdown, period comparison, discount impact, price suggestions, Etsy market research.
  • Scheduling: Scheduling drafts' publishing times, changing or canceling scheduled publishes.
  • Marketing: Writing marketing copy, Pinterest boards and pins, scheduling social posts, drafting review requests.
  • Google Drive: Listing the files you've shared with Protsy on Drive and adding them to a listing.

Warning: Protsy's approval cards appear only in the Protsy AI chat. Jobs you request through the connector run directly, within the permissions you granted. Your AI app may ask for its own approval before running a tool. That's why you should select only the permissions you'll actually use when granting access. New listings created on Etsy always open as hidden drafts.

Managing connected apps

In the Connected apps card on the Account page, you see the apps that access your Protsy account. Each row shows Stores, Permissions, and Last used. To turn off an app's access, click Remove access.

External tools

Note: This feature appears if it is enabled on your account.

The External tools card on the Account page (the same card is also on the Settings → Connection page) shows the third-party accounts your AI assistant can use through Protsy. Connections are per store: "Connections for {store}. Each store keeps its own."

Tip: After you connect a new external tool or a new feature is turned on for your account, remove the Protsy connector in ChatGPT or Claude and connect it again. AI apps save the tool list at the moment they connect. If you don't reconnect, they won't see the new tools.

Mobile app

The Protsy Üretici mobile app is only for manufacturing partners. Manufacturers track incoming orders in this app. There's no separate mobile app for sellers' listing management. You can use Protsy in your phone's browser. On a phone, the menu bar at the bottom of the screen offers shortcuts such as Home and More.

Frequently asked questions

I connected Instagram but can't post. Why? Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account and must be linked to a Facebook Page. After connecting, make sure you selected a Facebook Page and clicked Save Page. You may also have exceeded the limit of 25 posts in 24 hours.

Why can't anyone see my TikTok and YouTube posts? Protsy's TikTok and YouTube app reviews are still in progress. Until the reviews are finished, posts are shared so that only you can see them.

Can I cancel a post I scheduled? Yes. In the Planned posts card on the listing's detail page, click Cancel next to the post. A post that is being shared or has already been shared can't be canceled.

I can't see the new Protsy tools in ChatGPT. AI apps save the tool list at the moment they connect. Remove the Protsy connector and connect it again.

How do I take back the access I gave the connector? In the Connected apps card on the Account page, click Remove access next to the app.

Can Protsy see all the files in my Google Drive? No. Protsy can access only the files you select in the picker.
